Farm Share
The WHIN Food Council is excited to partner with the GrowNYC and the Dominican Women’s Development Center (DWDC) to bring farm-fresh and locally-grown produce, free of charge, to families in our neighborhood!
Participating families will be eligible to receive a box of fresh produce twice a month. Contents of the produce boxes will vary based on what is in season, and each family can expect to receive 7-9 items (9-12lbs pounds of produce) at every pickup. Some items that have been included in past deliveries are: apples, golden beets, broccoli, carrots, bok choy, potatoes, scallions, and spinach.

Program Eligibility
This program will serve families in Washington Heights & Inwood who have been financially impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and/or are experiencing food insecurity. The application will be available online to interested families determined through DWDC. DWDC will be available to assist families in filling out the online application. From there, applications will be reviewed by the WHIN Food Council committee and the committee will proceed to contact selected families to confirm their entry into the program.
Pick-up Location and Hours:
Every second and last Wednesday of each month starting at 3:30 PM EST.

Our Impact
Our program impact report was vital in assessing the growth and effect of this program on the participating families. We are so thankful for our volunteers, Janki Patel and Eman Faris, for their work in collaborating with DWDC on reaching families for feedback and compiling this report.
