Grow From Home

Have you ever eaten lettuce picked that very day? How about a mushroom that you grew with your own very hands? If you've ever wanted easy access to the freshest herbs or wondered if you have what it takes to grow your own food, the WHIN Food Council has an invitation for you! We are happy to announce the launch of the Grow From Home project to put food gardens on the windowsills of local families.

Program Description

Participants will receive a free selection of edible plants to grow and harvest at home. Other necessary materials and supplies to help members create their home-grow setup will also be provided. Over the course of 3 months, participants will receive online communications with tips, advice, and training to successfully grow at home.

We want to hear about your experiences with the Grow From Home project! Your input will help us make this new initiative into a successful project that we can share with neighbors for years to come. We want your questions, concerns—and pictures of your gardening results!

Thank you! I enjoyed participating and getting me to think more about my space and what I can do to grow my own food.
